BikeErg – Overview
The BikeErg was a creation of Concept2, an experienced company in making highly innovative products. It is different from a spinning bike as its flywheels function differently. It’s also more lightweight compared to ordinary stationary bikes.
The package inclusions are the following:
– Smartphone Cradle
– BikeErg Product Manual with Performance Monitor Quick Start Guide
– Tools and instructions for assembly
The design revolves around a precise flywheel air resistance. The harder you pedal, the more the challenge of the workout increases. The clutch inclusion allows you to freewheel like a standard bicycle and to recreate the effect of changing gears, they have included a wide damper range.
The performance monitor that comes with the BikeErg has several modes that will suit any kind of ride. It provides a wide range of data, like watts, pace, calories, and cadence (rpm). It also automatically stores this information so you can compare the results in every ride.
In terms of built, the Concept2 BikeErg is convenient, does not take an engineer to assemble, and has a movable seat and handlebars. Users can even choose to use their own bike seat, handlebars, or pedals as most styles can fit it, to make a definitive custom indoor bicycle. It uses high-strength, self-tensioning poly groove belts rather than a chain, to significantly minimize sound output, making set-up in any room of the house practical.
