Compared to Knit, the Grit is a tougher upper using a Flexweave® woven textile that brings resilient stretch and targeted support at vital performance areas. Aside from the upper, other changes found in Nano X1 are the Floatride Energy midsole and external heel counter, which led to a 23% decrease in weight.

The outsole is designed for gym workouts with its flat, shallow lugs giving good grip and ground feel in the midfoot and under the heel. It has a 7mm heel-to-toe drop and a responsive and flexible forefoot, while the heel clip adds stability for agile lateral moves.
It runs true to size, with a fine, wide toe box almost unaltered from the Nano X to provide lots of room for the toes to spread when lifting. This training shoe is meant to present a solid base for lifts and more cushioning for running and plyometrics during your gym workouts.
